Completed second assignment

Well, well, sorry i missed last weeks blog but i will make up for it.
I have just completed my second assignment for both Language and Culture and Technology 2, one thing i found a bit hard was just with a big event like that is finding a quiet place where you can do your interviews, and then of course finding the right questions.
I had one interview where the lady didn't have a role at the event and didn't know much about it so i was a bit stuck as in where to go next in the interview so that was abit hard but umm i still pulled through and got what i thought was a big part of the event so i came out of that one alright.

As for the technical side of the assignment i found the software easy to use although not having enough space was hard and trying to delete things to fit that in was a real big hoha.

I think that my end product could have been a bit better but for my first time i thought it was great.

Yay two more assignments left.

Koroneihana

Well today was a productive day for all other mahi, not so much in the tech class because i forgot to buy some battries for my recorder but that will be done this avo same with my interview then i'll spend apopo afternoon editing my interview.
Well i've just been told to talk about my learning soooooooo..........

My learning is going quiet well i may have already said but editing is what i am interested in and this is what i have been waiting for all year. I can learn like sit there and listen take notes and shit but i think i catch on faster when i am actually doing it. Do you know what i mean?

I think also the audio editing will come in handy because my partner and i have started getting into composing, hes a musical person aswell so it's going to be real useful, not that we are making a cd or anything but we myt put it on something so that if we do continue composing we have a record, and like if we get bord of just the nor guitar and stuff we might start adding other instruments in and then this is where the audio editing will come in handy.

uuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I am looking at still studying next year but Maori and at Waikato, i have connections in Radio Tainui so it will also come in handy if i get a part time job over there.

I am looking foward to starting my next assignment of creating a piece where i will be featuring my interviews from the coronation on thursday, also looking forward to the trip down there and i''l let ya'll know about that one next week.

Kia Ora, Kia Ora C ya'll next week.

Finished the first assignment

Hi everyone,
Sorry i didnt do last weeks blog but i'm back on board. Well last week we handed our mags and now we are doing audio editing. The mag was alot of fun, but at the same time quite stressful only because the third person was away for a few days, but i mean hey we got it done and on time. I was pleased with our mag i think it was eye catching umm it was professional and it was Maori which is what we were all aiming for. It was really cool.

And we are off!!!

This is only my second blogging but pai ana. I'm really enjoying my mahi so far. First time i actually finished my mahi on time and no need to edit much yay. I'm finding it just a little bit hard to what ever the editor wants i think that because we are working as a 'Production team' then all dissisions should be made by the team. Umm otherwise it's pretty good we are yet to have a hui about how we want to set our mag out anyway. But anywhoo. Our language and culture class was quite cool yesterday, but she really got my brain hurting. Hahahahahahahaa. Na but for real it's been cool and i'm enjoying myself.
Oh and we had Kororia Taumaunu come in thursday last week and she was cool just told us about how and when she started in the industry, i have realised that majority of kaimahi at MTS all started on Radio, i think that must be all kaimahi through out the industry. Well most anyway. Getting back to Kororia she told it how it is and that was cool we kinda need more people like that in the industry, just being real. Anyway i'm getting sore hands and had enough of talking about school so see ya'll next week. Later, over and out.
